Dr Ross, This worked for me!! My positive Covid test result came on the day before Thanksgiving. I then lost my sense of smell and taste on November 29th. My sense of smell would come and go but I had no sense of taste at all. My daughter found a tick tok video yesterday morning with your “trick” on it. We tried it and it works!!! We had to do it a number of times yesterday but it’s been over 24 hours and I can smell everything and best of all I can TASTE!!! I just want to thank you! I’m so grateful you’ve put this out there. A homeopathic solution that truly works. Thank you!!!
Tried this over the weekend and it didn't work, likely due to using the pad of my finger instead of pointing. Tried again today. Beforehand, peanut butter smelled like ammonia... immediately afterward, no trace of ammonia and my toothpaste also tasted much better than it has been recently. After about an hour, I re-sniffed the peanut butter and got a trace of ammonia but not nearly as strong as before! Thanks for putting this out there, I've been going insane the past few months!
What magic! I was able to smell much better than taste, but it definitely worked.
I did it twice Today and I feel little better, I am smoker and still cigarettes smell very bad.. But I coud smell the food differently
Worked for me too!
This worked for my boyfriend and I!!! Instant! Incredible! Thank you!
@DoctorKRoss I do think it may be helping. The bad smell went away, but came back worse in the evening. But then today I woke up with no bad smell. I went all day until around 4PM. It came back a little so I did the head flick and it went away again. I'll keep doing it forever if I have to, if it gives me even a minute of peace!
So I had an average/mild COVID case without any health complications or risks (had cold-like symptoms that lasted a week or so and a brief stint of heavy breathing. About day 8 I lost smell and taste like a flick of a switch in the morning before lunch. I couldn’t smell/taste, could only differentiate textures. My wife had me smelling a bunch of essential oils that night and out of six I thought maybe I smelled the orange extract. 10 minutes later I get a link to this video and ask my wife to try it on me. I did the finger point at olfactory followed by the tongue in quick succession. Immediately, I picked up the same essential oils and they were potent and I was confident I knew what I was smelling. I ran downstairs and proceeded to eat 500 calories in the fridge out of pure excitement and astonishment. Thanks for sharing this technique! I did find that it was slightly weaker the next morning (smelled a bag of coffee grinds), but I performed the same technique and again those same coffee grinds were instantly more potent and I knew what I was smelling. So I’ll continue daily and start taking zinc to see if it returns over time without the technique. But as long as the technique is a fall back option I’m just happy I have a path forward to normalcy. Thanks again!!! Show everyone this!A
Parosmi-what??I tested positive for COVID-19 on December 18 and by December 22, I had completely lost all taste and smell - also known as anosmia. Four weeks in, the smell/taste of sweets came back; most everything from cakes to candy I could now smell/taste. Two weeks after that, savory slowly started to come back; I could now smell/taste most salty type foods like chicken or chips. I still couldn’t taste bland foods like bread, eggs or cheese but I was just grateful to have 75% of my smell/taste back. 10 weeks in, March 2nd, parosmia hit. Most food now tasted and smelt like the exact same chemically burnt plastic. Citrus smells/tastes like rot. Parosmia is much worse than anosmia. Stronger flavored foods produced a stronger distorted scent and are more upsetting. I can still smell/taste most sweets which is really strange and not good because it’s the only food that doesn’t taste disgusting. So here I sit 12 weeks in (3/16/21) skeptically optimistic. I want so bad for this to be over but don’t want to get my hopes up either.(3/19/21) K, I am seriously freaking out! It has been almost 13 weeks since I lost my taste and smell and almost 3 weeks since I got the parosmia where most everything tastes like burnt chemical plastic. On one of the community pages I follow where other people are going through this, I saw the “flicking video” and I was incredibly skeptical. But when you’re at the point I’m at, you’re willing to try anything because why not. My husband just flicked me in the head and it freaking worked!!Lemon used to smell like rot, it’s now smells like lemon! Peanut butter was one of the worst burnt plastic chemical smells and it smells like peanut butter! The distorted smell is still slightly there but it’s so so much better!
I was so skeptical but it actually helped with some scents. My Covid Smell hasn't gone away for everything but in the past week, I've been able to smell the normal scent of peanuts, had sanitizer, chocolate, and my perfume, which had all been repulsive before the head flick.
It helped my smell for sure almost instantly but didn't change my taste. I didn't smell anything at all for 4 months before this. Now I can smell almost everyting except like lemon or citrusy stuff. They still smell like chemical.
This totally worked for me!
This actually worked!!! I just tried it and I could smell! I literally almost started crying! First thing I smelled was coffee and it didn't smell disgusting, I hope this lasts!
I didn't have Covid, but after 5 years of stress and sleeping less then 6 hours a night I lost my smell and taste. Not totally, I could smell my coffee while drinking it but not when it was made. Same for someone smoking, within 1 meter I could smell, but farther away nothing. Flowers only while sticking my nose in it. Lately I went to my Chiropractor and he did something with my neck. I'm visiting since December very regularly. After this time I could suddenly smell the flowers in the room and some baked cookies-smell drifting inside from the street. I was so amazed this could happen with chiropracty, so at home that evening I checked on the internet and I found your site. I realized the effect of my chiropracty was allready gone so we gave your flicking a try. Immediately I smelled again! The next morning it was gone, so we tried again with positive result. This was necessary for 3 or 4 days but after this my smell was restored. I'm so happy I can smell flowers again. And also the smelly stuff, but I won't complain about that ;-)). This happened now 6 weeks ago and I still smell. Another thing what is getting better now is hearing, this also started after flicking. The tongue flicking we tried just once without result, but maybe I should give this another try too. I'm 43 years old, 5 years ago I started with changing my eating pattern and got help from a Orthomolecular Doctor with supplements and diet. This restored my gut, lactose-intolerance healed. So no deficiency in Zinc or Magnesium anymore, or other nutrients. I think that's also why the flicking immediately kicked in. I hope your technique will be researched scientifically soon!
Thank you very much! I was 5 days with no taste and smell, and I tried it!! Guys, it helped me!! Try it!!
Hi again Dr. Ross, I was wondering how hard the flick has to be for the recovery to be effective. Thank you!
Dr Ross: it is just a gentle flick... just some input into the body to put some input into the nerve system..
I was thinking that it is normal that I can’t smell anything, when I got to hospital I found out that I was abnormal and was suffering from Anosmia disease. I used a lot of medicine but wasn’t cured, I used a herbal medicine from Dr Gbenga I saw on YouTube and I was cured
This is working for me. It’s been five months of partial smell and taste and I had felt like I was improving, but then slipped back. Started to get so depressed and then found this video. I ran to my chiropractor who said he could understand the thought behind it, and we tried it. A half hour later, I smelled a body scrub I hadn’t smelled in forever. I’ve been doing it once a day for the last few days, and I’m smelling new smells and my taste is improving again. Hoping it continues. Thank you so much Dr. Ross! ❤️
I worked! I love you! Instantly!. The smell is not back, but the subtle taste did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I just did it and I taste now. After 8 days of disgeusia!!! I can't smell yet. But try try try!!!! Update: not all flavors, I am crazy running by my kitchen tasting everything. The flavors are kind of subtle , maybe because I don't have smell yet. But I just felt the flavor and a tiny smell of vanilla, garlic does not taste yet. But is a huge improvement!!!
i did try it!! and it did work!!! only temporarily, so i do it every time before every meal. i can’t taste 100% but at least that AWFUL taste my parosmia left me with is gone for those 20 minutes.
Incredible. Since having covid in November, I've been without consistent smell or taste. I've tried smell training for 40 days, the burnt orange method, and a theophylline prescription for 30 days. Nothing. But this method has been the most effective by far. Not super effective in my case, but it's brought back my taste by a lot. Thank you!
Oh my goodness guys...The weird headflick worked. In Vegas for 4 nights and last night we went to TGIF and I couldn't even do the fries without the covid taste. This morning my fiancé flicked me in the back of the head and the first thing I tested was the toothpaste that is heavy on mint and holy crap I can taste the mint! Coffee still has a tiny bit of the covid taste but I think with more head flicks it will be normal. Just finished lunch at the Grandlux heavy on the garlic and chicken! No covid taste! I enjoyed a meal!!
Just tried it and it worked for my smell! My toothpaste smells like toothpaste again and I ate some garlic pretzels and they smelled fine! Thanks for sharing!VR
Literally just did this and it worked😀 I still can’t smell but I can definitely taste some now!!
Hey Doc, I am grateful for you! So I had Covid and my sense of taste was bad! Everything tasted rancid so I used your technique and bam! Instantly could taste again.
Tried it and could taste 80% again INSTANTLY! Still working on smell. I knew a Chiro would find an answer! Thank you Doctor!!
God bless Dr. Ross, this worked for me. Afterwards I went outside barefoot to ground myself. I’m so hopeful now!
Thank you very much!!!! I had parosmia last week after having 2 days with anosmia. I almost couldn’t eat anything because of parosmia. I was depressed! I tried this and it worked. I had a headache the next morning (not sure why) and 2 days ago I woke up and it’s back to normal (not 100% normal but probably 90%). Sounds like a miracle! I thought it'll last for a couple of months 😭 raw onion and oil still smell disgusting to me but I can eat fried food again even tho it's cooked with onion/garlic. I don't know if it’s totally because of this treatment or any other things that I don't realize during the healing process. I only took medicine when I had anosmia but I stopped when I developed parosmia. I can't take any medicine because I didn't eat anything but plain bread for 3 days! I sunbathe every morning for 30 minutes. I hope this works for you guys. Don't lose hope 💕

Hi Dr. Ross,
You are a LIFESAVER! I got covid but didn’t lose my taste/smell until 2-3 days after I initially got sick. I did start a supplement protocol as soon as I got sick - liposomal Vit C, 1000 mg 3x daily, quercetin 500 mg 2-3x daily, zinc 60 mg daily and vit D 10000 IU daily. In addition I take c60 oil (c60 purple power - the only one with no solvents in it!) and Gaia herbs turmeric supreme 2 caps daily. I was actually taking these things before I got sick, but at lower doses.
I was only febrile for the first evening, and most of my symptoms had resolved by day 4 (except taste/smell). Today was day 7 (day 5 of anosmia) and I stumbled across your video and decided to try it. I was alone, so I did the one where you tap the temporal area and it worked instantly! I did both sides twice, just for good measure, lol. I do still have some distortion with my smell, but it is very mild and not unpleasant and it seems to have improved over the course of the day.
I am a family nurse practitioner and am very interested in the physiology/pathophysiology behind your method. My brother is arguing that the power of suggestion is why it works. I do not agree, and if you could explain the mechanism of action in medical terms, I would be very grateful. I find it truly fascinating, and I know there are lots of other folks who are extremely thankful! I am very interested in functional medicine. I’ve grown very disillusioned and disgusted with allopathic medicine, ironically ever since I got my masters degree, so functional/holistic/homeopathic type practice is much more my speed these days.
Ok I’ve said enough I think. : ) THANK YOU again for getting your information out there! I will be sharing it everywhere!
